Supporting Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and/or Disabilities

SEND Area draft strategy consultation
Consultation – How you can help to shape our strategy
As part of our wider strategic framework of support for vulnerable children and young people, our multi-agency SEND Improvement Board is seeking views on their draft Dudley area strategy for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
The council is working with partners, stakeholders and local communities to ensure that we collectively deliver on our ambitions for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
The draft strategy sets out our vision for the Dudley area SEND offer to children, young people and their families.
This includes our:
positive building blocks for change,
key areas for improvement and
strategic priorities
It is important that we capture your views and ideas as part of this process. This will help to ensure that our SEND strategy delivers the most effective possible outcomes for our local communities in Dudley.
You can respond directly to this draft strategy by completing an online survey.
In addition we are holding bespoke meetings with partners, parents, carers and children and young people to create opportunities for everyone who would like to contribute.
The consultation is open until 21 September 2018 (5pm)
