Calling all young designers – Dudley needs a name and a logo for a new project – can you help us?
Design competition – What is the project we want you to design for?
Dudley is starting a new way for young people to hold their accommodation providers responsible for the service they receive. The Dudley quality badge (or Kite Mark), will be awarded to providers of accommodation and support whose organisations meet the high standards that young people deserve.
Providers will have the opportunity to self-check how good they are at listening, delivering services, accommodation and support to young people, doing what they say they will do and most importantly keeping young people safe. Young People, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council staff and community organisations will be part of the process of inspecting them to see if they are as good as they say they are.
If their accommodation and support for young people is up to the best standard then they will be awarded the Dudley quality badge (or Kite Mark) so that they can prove how good they are. This will help young people to choose where they want to live and give peace of mind that their home is of the highest possible standard.
This project is working with young people to make sure that it meets your needs. We want a name and a logo for the project that means something to you and a design you are proud of. Entrants must be care experienced young people between the ages of 16-25.
The winner of the name and logo competition will receive £200 in shopping or experience vouchers and their work will be displayed across accommodation and support services.
Every entrant will receive a £5 shopping voucher for their time. (Only one entry per person please).
All entrants are invited to the awards event in December which will include dinner and where we will announce the winner.
To make the event Covid safe the event will be live on Zoom for those unable to attend in person.
Please submit your entry as a high-resolution Jpeg file along with your contact details, the name for your logo and a brief description of your inspiration to supportingpeople.dachs@dudley.gov.ukby the 30th of November and good luck!
