Attendance Management Training - Session 3

Due to the current Covid-19 situation we have revised the Attendance Management Training course so it can be undertaken virtually via MS Teams and are offering the following training sessions.

Each training session is designed to meet the needs of direct Line Managers through to Senior Management.

You can either attend a specific session aimed at your level of management or all three if you wish. Each session will be approximately 1 – 1.25 hrs and have capacity for 6 – 10 candidates only.

Candidates will be emailed joining instructions via MS Teams along with presentation slides.

Session 1 – Stage 1 and Stage 2 attendance triggers
 To provide Managers with the tools to assist in the management of sickness absence;
 How to use Occupational Health effectively in managing sickness absence cases;
 To identify the importance of supporting the individual upon any return to work following an absence ;
 How to run a Bradford Factor report, triggers that action a Stage 1 or Stage 2 Warning and Discounting absences in line with policy.

Session 2 – Stage 3 trigger
 To provide Managers with the tools to assist in the management of sickness absence;
 How to use Occupational Health effectively in managing sickness absence cases;
 To identify the importance of supporting the individual upon any return to work following an absence;
 How to manage where a Stage 3 is triggered, clarifying where and what support is available, the process to follow and potential outcomes.

Session 3 – Long term absence
 To provide Managers with the tools to assist in the management of sickness absence;
 How to use Occupational Health effectively in managing sickness absence cases;
 To identify the importance of supporting the individual upon any return to work following an absence
 To give an understanding of where Redeployment is applicable;
 To clarify the process of the management of termination on ill health capability grounds and ill health early retirement.
